About Multipath TCP

MPTCP is the largest extension for well known TCP protocol. Main intention is to utilize multiple interfaces (and IP addresses) for single connection. Such improvement should provide better stability of connections and higher throughput.

The most popular implementation is reference Linux Kernel implementation. It is usable, but not suitable for upstreaming. At the beginning of 2019 a new project has been started. It's goal is to implement Multipath TCP so that it could be pushed to upstream kernel.
